Judy's MINI Cooper S I ordered my MINI on 5/30/08 and
took delivery on 6/28/08. Those four weeks seemed to drag on forever but it was well worth the wait. The car went into production at the MINI plant in Oxford, England the
day after I ordered and production was completed on 6/7. From there there was a two or three day train ride to the port in Southhampton where it boarded the K-Line vessel
Western Highway. The WH docked in Charleston, SC on 6/26 and the car spent a day at the BMW Vehicle Distribution Center going through the final inspections and
quality checks. It was then loaded onto a coverered transport truck and driven to the dealership in Winston-Salem, NC where I picked it up. As you can see, I tracked it from
start to finish and learned a LOT about vehicle manufacturer and ocean shipping! So far I've been driving it for two weeks and I love it!

Stoney Fork Overlook
One of the locals out for a drive with wife and dog had to pull in for a closer look. He had to wonder why I was taking pictures of my car instead of the view.
Elk Mountain Overlook
The view was great and it wasn't even a clear day.
More bikers whiz by. It was looking like rain so I guess they were trying to get someplace dry.
